Ciera Harris
Interim Executive Director
As Interim Executive Director of the Brenham Heritage Museum, Ms. Harris leads efforts to preserve local history and foster meaningful community engagement. She has been serving at the museum since 2023, previously holding the roles of Deputy Director and Program Coordinator. With five years of nonprofit experience, she holds certificates from Rice University in Leadership for Nonprofit Executives, Nonprofit Finance, and Paralegal Studies.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from The University of Texas at Austin with a Minor in Business, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree at the University of St. Thomas. In 2025, she was honored as one of Washington County’s “20 Under 40 Rising Stars" by the Brenham Banner-Press.
Active in the community, she serves as an officer in Brenham Toastmasters and Washington County Young Professionals and is a member of the Brenham chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. A descendant of several men who fought in the Battle of San Jacinto, she takes great pride in her Texas heritage and is deeply committed to preserving and celebrating the state’s rich history.

Anne Mayor
Gallery Attendant
Anne Mayor serves as a full-time Gallery Attendant at the Brenham Heritage Museum, where she plays an essential role in creating welcoming and engaging experiences for visitors. In addition to caring for the galleries and assisting guests, Ms. Mayor coordinates a variety of museum programs and community events throughout the year.
Working closely with the Executive Director, she helps execute event logistics from start to finish, overseeing setup and takedown and ensuring every detail is thoughtfully managed. Her strong organizational skills and hands-on approach help each program run smoothly and successfully.
A valued member of the museum team, Anne brings a positive, upbeat attitude to her work each day. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication to serving the community reflect the spirit and mission of the Brenham Heritage Museum.
