Our Own Hands - Our Own Hands is a temporary exhibit on view in the Blue Bell Gallery at the Brenham Heritage Museum during the month of February. This exhibit pays tribute to the early Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs who helped shape the economic and cultural landscape of Washington County. In a rural setting where opportunity was often limited, Black community members relied on creativity, skill, and determination to build livelihoods for themselves and their families.
